24/7 Prayer is a non-denominational Christian initiative.

There’s no churn or non-profit behind this. No interest in charitable giving or donations. The only thing being asked of you is your time and your heart.

I have found profound, deep satisfaction in conversational prayer (praying aloud, speaking to Jesus just as we would with a friend sitting across from us). And I’ve found the most powerful moments of prayer are not praying for the things that matter to me, but intercessory prayer (which simply means praying for other people on their behalf).

I also believe prayer works. I’m not sure how, but it doesn’t matter. Throughout my life I have experienced things I simply cannot explain except as answered prayer.

God is good. God is loving. And I believe we can experience that goodness and that love if we simply take the time to seek Him.

My hope is that everyone who reads this will sign up for at least one 30-minute session (or better, an hour) and find themselves so moved by that time that they sign up again. And again. And that somewhere soon, there is a group of people spending time with God so regularly, and so consistently, that together we are engaging Him and communing with Him in prayer 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
